So yesterday I spent all afternoon running around trying to find a cord for my camera (that connects my camera to my computer and allows me to upload photos, which is obviously essential to sharing photos). I looked on the Nikon website for authorized retailers and there were forty-nine listed just on Hong Kong island. Most were in Times Square, so I decided to try Causeway Bay first. Apparently, the list on the Nikon website is extremely outdated and the stores no longer exist! After walking around for hours, I was frustrated, hot and tired and decided to head back, defeated. One of my friends who was with me suggested checking Wan Chai, which was an MTR stop on the way back. After thinking it over I decided to give it one last try.
We finally found the cord, but unfortunately it cost 4x the price as it would have cost in the US. I bought it out of convenience and because I am not yet sure about the rules of receiving packages in my dorm. Oh well- lesson learned, I will keep the cord in my room from now on.
Favorite Food in HK
On the way back to my dorm, I treated myself to a snack (seen here). It's an egg waffle sort of thing, and my new favorite treat! The egg waffle originated in Hong Kong, but a shop recently opened up back home in CT where they sell these egg waffles with ice cream in them, called Milkcraft. I tried Milkcraft in July and it was amazing, so I knew I would have to try more in Hong Kong! Yum, the best food I've had so far here.
