I have officially started adapting to the weather here. Today it is 88 deg F, sunny with only 60% humidity! I would've never thought that this weather would feel so good. Back at home I would've been complaining about a day like today. This is the lowest percentage of humidity that I have experienced in the past month since being here, and I am loving it. The weather can make a big difference on how I am feeling, and when I first got here I could not go for more than a minute outside without starting to sweat.
Looking ahead: October "Fall" Weather
The weather in Hong Kong in October is supposed to be less humid and the temperature usually falls between mid 80's-mid 70's. I am so excited for that weather, and am counting down the days until then. However, when I come back home after being in this hot weather for so long, my system is going to go into shock because of how cold it will be (maybe there will be snow!). Since I will go straight from summer weather in Hong Kong to winter weather in New England, I will have missed the NE fall season, and unfortunately apple cider donuts.
Since I am on campus during the lunch hours during the week, I usually eat at a cafe here. Today, I tried Super Super (which I had never been to before). I ordered shrimp wonton with noodles, and I thought it was OK (didn't love it). It was very cheap though, and filling, so my money was not wasted. In the pictures it shows chopsticks, but, disclaimer - I still struggle greatly to use them and usually end up using a fork, spoon and knife. To me using a fork, spoon and knife still seem way easier (and more efficient).
